Why are some of my downloaded songs missing?
FollowSome of Your Purchased Songs May Be Missing – Here's Why
If you received our recent email about the Download Store closing and came back to download your library only to find some songs are no longer available, we sincerely apologize. We understand how frustrating this is, especially when you paid for this content.
Unfortunately, some songs have been removed from our catalog ahead of the store's closure due to changes in licensing agreements. As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to modify or remove content at any time — but we recognize that doesn't make this situation any less disappointing, and we're sorry.
What This Means for You
- Songs you have already downloaded to a local device are yours to keep.
- Songs that are no longer available in the store cannot be re-downloaded, even if you purchased them.
- The Download Store will be closing permanently in mid-2026. We recommend downloading any remaining available songs as soon as possible.
Missing a Large Number of Songs?
We know that for some customers, the missing content may be significant. If you're finding that a large portion of your purchased library is unavailable, please reach out to our support team directly — we want to make this right and will do our best to help.
What's Next: Streaming Karaoke
As we close the Download Store, we're focused on our new generation of WiFi-connected machines and subscription-based apps, which give you streaming access to thousands of songs — always up to date, no downloads needed.
We understand this transition isn't easy, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and loyalty as a customer. If you have any questions, our support team is here to help.
Noticing Missing Songs on the App Instead?
If you're using our streaming app rather than the download store and have noticed a song or album that's no longer available, this is a separate issue — and a normal part of how streaming catalogs work.
How Our Music Catalog Works
Our catalog is built on licensing agreements with artists and music labels. These agreements are temporary by nature — when they expire, we must renegotiate. If a new agreement can't be reached, we are required to remove that content from the app. This can happen at any time and is outside of our control.
Can the Song Come Back?
Possibly, yes. We actively work to renegotiate agreements and explore opportunities to bring removed content back whenever we can. While we can't make guarantees, your feedback genuinely matters — song requests are taken into consideration as we work with labels and artists.
- Missing songs are not a bug — they've been removed due to licensing, not a technical issue.
- This can affect any song at any time, regardless of how long it's been in the catalog.
- We are always working to grow and refresh our library with new and returning content.
We know it's disappointing when a favorite song disappears, and we're sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and for being part of our karaoke community.
